US teacher has been taken into custody for vaccinating a 17-year-old student without having any medical background and qualification.
Police say Laura Russo administered the dose at her house without having any legal authority to give jabs or consent from the boy’s parents.
Laura Russo is 5 years old who teaches biology was arrested on New Year’s Eve and faces up to four years in jail if convicted.
If injections are given improperly, they might be harmful. Vaccination must be verified by doctors and certified medical personnel to ensure that it is neither counterfeit nor outdated. Patients should also be asked about their medical history and their reaction to the injection should be observed.
