Fan Appreciation Week at the racecourse: A series of special events, discounts and offers during closing week of the 2016 season will be staged at Saratoga Race Course.

The tradition of craft beverages in Central New York will be highlighted Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course. Activities, exhibits and entertainment showcasing the renaissance of craft beer, hard cider, spirits and wine in the region will be featured at the Saratoga Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Craft beer, wines, ciders and spirits from Central New York producers will be available in increments of five samples for $5. Guests must be at least 21 years old and show proper identification to participate in the tasting.

The post position draw for the 147th running of the Travers was staged in Saratoga Springs Tuesday night. The Travers will feature a full field of 14 horses for the first time since 1977, led by Preakness and Haskell winner Exaggerator, Belmont Stakes winner Creator and the top three finishers from the Jim Dandy, the traditional Travers prep.

All reserved seats, dining and hospitality are sold out for the 147th running of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday. As was done last year, paid attendance for the 2016 edition of the Travers will be capped at 50,000. General admission grandstand tickets are currently available HERE for $10, as well as an extremely limited inventory of general admission clubhouse tickets for $20.
