Netflix original sitcom “The Upshaws” has earned massive appreciation and rating after its first season. It made its debut on the OTT platform on May 12, 2021.

It has not even been a month since Netflix released the first season of “The Upshaws.” The 10 episodes long season was enough to amuse the audience and earn a massive fan following.
We know that it is too early for Netflix to give its nod for the second season of this series. Because the decision would be based on the final ratings at least after 8 weeks of the release of the first season.
But we can somehow assume looking at its immense popularity that it will meet Netflix’s series renewal criteria. I think the announcement on “The Upshaws” Season 2 will be coming soon. And after that, we will be able to further predict its release dates based on when the production begins.
“The Upshaws” Season 2: Plot
This comedy series reflects on the lives of the Upshaw family who are of African-American origin settled in Indiana. It basically sheds light on family conflicts within the family.
Bennie and Regina Upshaw are married for years and have four children together. But over the years things have turned bitter sour between them. In the first season, we saw the couple considering divorce as the best option.
We saw a lot of shocking elements in the first season. Firstly, their older son came out as gay and Bennie is shocked by it. Also, we know that the couple was working on their relationship when out of nowhere a girl arrives claiming to be the daughter of Bennie whom he had abandoned.
So the upcoming season will be full of drama because this new twist is absolutely going to result in a rift between the couple.
