Former US national gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar abused hundreds of ladies are supposed to get $380 million (£287 million) in order to settle the incident with USA Gymnastics.
It is also reported that finally, a legal battle ended which has been going on for the past five years. In 2018, Nassar was sentenced to over 300 years in jail because of molesting gymnasts.
After this incident, a number of Athletes came up and narrated the story of their sexual abuse done by Nassar. Moreover, various Olympic medallists also agreed on this note. The settlement is among the biggest ever for a sexual maltreatment case, and as a feature of the understanding USA Gymnastics and the Olympic Committee will give board seats to survivors.
In 2016 the first allegations against Nassar were done by a lady, named Rachael Denhollander. Rachael showed her happiness via uploading a post on Twitter by saying “This chapter is finally closed.”
She also added “Now the hard work of reform and rebuilding can begin. Whether or not justice comes and change is made, depends on what happens next.”
