Chirag Paswan has been removed from his position as the President of Lok Janshakti Party. The party was founded by his father Late politician Ram Vilas Paswan.
Chirag Paswan Steps Down As LJP President
Pashupati Kumar Paras was elected as the new leader of the Lok Janshakti Party in the Lok Sabha. And after that Chirag Paswan was removed from his position as the President of the party.
The most shocking thing is that Pashupati is his own uncle and this decision coming from him looked like a direct betrayal. Five MPS from this party went against Chirag and chose Pashupati as their leader.
And after that under Pashupati’s leadership, Surajbhan Singh was chosen as the new President of the party. Out of six MPs, five of them wanted Chirag’s removal as the party President and hence this decision was taken.
It is said that Pashupati was never happy with his nephew’s works as the party President and wanted a change.
Chirag Paswan’s Reaction On His Removal
After the official announcement about his removal, he has opened up his thoughts on a recent statement. Paswan said that the Lok Janshakti Dal has always been his fathers legacy.
And he has tried his best to keep it alive. He also stated that he has left no stone unturned in keeping the party united but still there were traitors and rebels.
In a Twitter post, he thanked everyone who was with the party and said that he always be a part of LJP no matter what.
