This issue was then raised by BJP’s local unit. It said that it is the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) job to remove posters, and police have acted illegally. On Saturday, North Mumbai BJP MP Gopal Shetty, and leader of Opposition Praveen Dareakar headed a protest near Malvani police station, demanding action against cops who removed the poster.

Shetty said that the Kashmir is not sensitive anymore but the Malvani is. He also added that is the Malvani area becomes sensitive then it would be a great failure of the police. He said that action will be taken against the police who did this. If a poster is illegal, it’s the BMC’s job to remove it, not the police’s.
