“The Witcher” is a fictional series by Netflix which has received massive love and appreciation from the audience. It first graced our screens in December 2019 and now the second season is on its way.
“The Witcher” Season 2: Release Date
The first season of this series released more than a year ago but it is still afresh in our minds. And the reason for this is that the plotline was way too engaging and even the performances were beyond perfection.
It is natural that after getting the first season of such an amazing series like “The Witcher”, the anticipation for another season is at its peak. We have always known that another season would be there because Netflix had already announced it in November 2019.
But we were heartbroken when the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the production and thus making us wait more than the estimated time. Had there been no pandemic, presently the third season would have been in the making. Anyways we don’t have any control over mother nature and hence accepted the delay in our favourite series.
And the best news we have right now is that amid all the hurdles the production team of the series has wrapped the shooting in April 2021. Although we don’t have any fixed date for its release by the end of 2021 seems ideal.
“The Witcher” Season 2: Plot
The series teaches us that nothing can be eviler than a human’s inner devil. Yes! Although this series is a work of supernatural fiction, its main motive is to spread the message that human beings are the real evil when greed and jealousy overpower them.
Geralt of Rivia is on a mission to save his homeland from devils but with time he understands that it’s human beings who are more dangerous than literal evils. Human jealousy, greed etc starts to irk him.
On the other hand, an innocent princess Cirilla also becomes the victim of this greed and torture by fellow human beings and devils as well. It is Geralt who saves her and trains her to be strong enough to stand for herself and her people. The second season will focus more on Cirilla and Geralt’s encounter.
We will also come to know if the Sorceress is really dead or is she pretending and plotting something quite dangerous.
