The Witcher Season 2 is being eagerly awaited by the fans. The first season premiered in 2019 and was a massive hit.
The Witcher Season 2: Release Date
The Netflix series first premiered in December 2019 and won the hearts of the audience. Thus it left us craving for another season. Interestingly the series was renewed for another season way back on November 13, 2019. Yes, the series was renewed even before the premiere of the first season!
But when is The Witches Season 2 releasing? We all know that the coronavirus outbreak has been harsh on several sectors especially the entertainment sector. Thus the production of The Witcher Season 2 also became a victim to it.
Due to the lockdown, the shotting of the fantasy drama series had to be delayed. But fortunately, the cast and crew resumed work by August 2020. As for the release date is concerned we know that the upcoming season will be out by 2021. But we don’t have an official release date as of yet.
But there are speculations that the upcoming season might be dropped on August 2021. Although we need an official announcement to know the exact date.
The Witcher Season 2: Plot
The fantasy drama series is undoubtedly one of the best series of this genre ever made by Netflix. It basically centres around Geralt of Rivia who is basically a monster hunter.
It basically revolves around the origination of these characters in different time frames. Geralt tries to establish or make his mark in the world but every time he discovers that humans turn out to be more wicked beasts. But being a fantasy drama we do witness Geralt defeating some ruthless monsters.
As for the plot of The Witcher Season 2 is concerned we do have an official synopsis by Netflix. So according to that, we know the upcoming season will be a continuation from where the first season ended. We know that both Geralt and Princess Cirilla have been convinced that Socceress Yennerfer has died during the battle.
Therefore Geralt’s only quest now is to protect the princess from the clutches of the evils who are after her to get hold of the special powers she possesses. So in The Witcher Season 2, we can expect Princess Cirilla to be trained by Geralt so that she can use her powers well.
Thus we can expect her to emerge out as a powerful witcher. Hence The Witcher Season 2 is expected to be full of action-packed sequences and thrill.
