The hit show based on the characters of the Archie comics will be back for yet another smashing season. Riverdale has everything from mystery and drama to romance and thrill. The characters are off fighting mafias and are a part of gangs. Who wouldn’t want high school to be like this?
With pretty actors and handsome hunks, the show features some very promising actors like Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, and Camila Mendes. This show has redefined The CW channel.
Coronavirus, which caused a worldwide pandemic halted the production of the last season and hence, we were left with a big cliff-hanger. We know that the cast and crew was back on set on 14th September, but the final release date for the next instalment is not known yet. It stopped midway again after a few days. But as of now, the show is back to filming new episodes. The situation of the world is not stable yet, so the production could be held up again in the future.
Along with the previous central cast, Drew Ray Tanner, our very own Fangs Fogarty, has also been upgraded to being a series regular for the upcoming season.
“Drew’s such a great guy and terrific actor, and has been with Riverdale since season two, making the character of Fangs Fogarty a fan favourite,” Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa stated.

We will also be seeing some new additions to the show. Erinn Westbrook, who is famous for her role of Cheerios captain Bree on Glee, will take up the role of Tabitha Tate, the granddaughter of Alvin Sanders’ Pop Tate.
A few goodbyes were also said as the last season ended. Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols will not be back for another season of the show.
As for the timeline of the show, we will be seeing a seven-year jump to the future. Lili Reinhart was quoted saying, “I get to play someone who’s my age now and not a teenager. I’m going up in the world… I don’t want to be 30 playing an 18-year-old.”
The release date is not final yet. We may have to wait a little longer!
