The wedding season has officially begun, thanks to the marriage of 27-year-old billionaire heiress and actress Nicola Peltz and 23-year-old Brooklyn Beckham – the eldest son of British footballer David Beckham and former Spice Girl-turned-designer Victoria Beckham – this weekend at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach Estate in Florida.
Nicola Peltz looked stunning in a classic Valentino haute couture gown with a square neckline and a sumptuous pooling train. According to her stylist, Hollywood outfitter Leslie Fremar, creating the dress was the “ultimate couture experience,” requiring several trips to the label’s headquarters in Rome, a year of brainstorming, and a transatlantic journey by the head seamstress herself for any last-minute finishing touches.
While Victoria Beckham was rumoured to be designing her new daughter-in-gown, law’s Nicola Peltz told Vogue that enlisting the expertise of Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli was a “no brainer.”
Picciloi has amassed a long list of remarkable fashion accolades in the last year, from his viral all-pink presentation at Paris Fashion Week to dressing CFDA-certified fashion queen Zendaya on nearly every red carpet.
An evil eye talisman (a charm supposed to ward off the curse of jealously) and a special message in blue thread were sewn into the garment at the request of Peltz’ mother, former fashion model Claudia Heffner Peltz.
