“Never Have I Ever” Season 2: Release Date, Plot And Other Details

A teen drama which has mesmerized us with its first season “Never Have I Ever” deserves all the accolades it has been getting post the release of its first season. Created by Mindy Kaling this Netflix series has built in such a hype after its first season that we cannot wait for its second instalment to hit the screens.

“Never Have I Ever” Season 2: Release Date

We always look forward to watching some out of the box series and Netflix always stands up to our expectations because it makes series like “Never Have I Ever.”

This teenage drama series had the audience go gaga over it since the first day of its release. It debuted on our Netflix screens in April 2020 and became one the most liked series on the OTT platform. Be it the storyline or the performances by the actors, everything was beyond perfection in the first season. 

Seeing the amazing responses from the audience and critics worldwide the OTT giant without a second thought renewed “Never Have I Ever” for another instalment. The maker of the series Mindy Kaling announced the good news through her social media handle. And we also got the amazing news that the shooting of “Never Have I Ever” Season 2 started in November 2020.

And it is expected to wrap up in a month or so. Although Netflix has not announced the release date as of yet but taking a wild guess, mid-2021 seems quite appropriate for the release of the second season of this series.

Season 2: Plot

A troubled teen struggling between her adolescence and her strict Indian family. Our protagonist is Maitryei Ramakrishnan an Indian origin teenager who has a troubled teen. Not only has she lost her father at such a tender age but she is also dealing with an identity crisis and other adolescence problems.

Coming from a typical Indian household her life is full of rules and regulations. Her mother became more protective of her after her father’s death. Thus invites in a lot of trouble for Maitreyei who wants freedom.

 

The first season left us in a cliffhanger because we witnessed the love triangle Maitryei was in. We also saw that her family were taking the toughest decision of their life who is to go back to their native country India. So in the upcoming season, we will finally see if Maitryei could stop her family from taking the decision to moving back to India.

Apart from that, we will also see where Paxton and Maitryei’s destiny take them when it comes to their relationship.
