Maharashtra Government has recently stated that a stern investigation would be carried out on #Indiaagainstpropaganda tweets by Indian celebrities.
Maharashtra Government Orders Twitter Storm Probe
Several Indian celebrities took to Twitter recently to share tweets under #Indiaagainstpropaganda and #IndiaTogether. These tweets basically came after international personalities Rihanna and Greta Thurnbreg supported the farmers’ protests on social media.
As per the tweets of these celebrities, it spread a message that Indian citizens are being targeted by anti-nationals whose propaganda is to spread hate in the country. So through these tweets, the celebrities made a plea to the people not to get bewitched by any such propaganda.
Now the Maharashtra government is blaming the BJP of manipulating and forcing the celebrities to post these tweets. And thus the state government has ordered that all these Tweets would be investigated by the special cyber cell.
There are allegations that the ruling party has been using the celebrities as their weapons to divert people’s minds away from the farmer’s protest.
Devendra Fadnavis Lashes Out At Maha Govt
The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has blasted out at the state government for doubting the Tweets of the celebrities and ordering a probe.
Fadnavis said that the celebrities have minds of their own and they know what is going on in the current situation. Therefore they don’t have to be forced by anyone to post something for the highest good of the nation.
He added that the celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar or Lata Mangeshkar are the pride of Maharashtra and Uddhav Thackery government seeking a probe on their tweets is totally unacceptable. Fadnavis also claimed that the Maha government has completely lost its state of mind and therefore it is issuing useless orders just to tarnish the image of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
