Hall of Famer Sam Jones dies at 88

The Boston Celtics great and Hall of Famer Sam Jones is no longer with us. He passed away at the age of 88 informed by the Celtics and his son.

Jones took his last breath on Thursday night as per the information given by his son Aubre. He also added that Jones was not in good health condition. Day after day it was getting worse, finally, on Christmas night he was admitted to a hospital in Boca Raton, Florida.

Jones was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984 as a guard who spent his entire 12-year NBA career with the Celtics and achieved 10 championships with the team.

On Friday the Celtics said that Sam Jones was the most accomplished, versatile, and clutch shooter for the most successful and dominant teams in NBA history.

He was also very famous as ‘The Shooter and Mr. Clutch’ because of his outstanding scoring ability.
