Directed by Takaharu Ozaki “Goblin Slayer” won our hearts with its first season in 2018. It became one of the highest grossing anime series in the year of its debut. And now all the anime fans are anxiously waiting for Goblin Slayer Season 2.
“Goblin Slayer” Season 2: Renewed Or Cancelled?
The anime series has a massive popularity since its release. It has been three year, but the first season is still afresh in our minds. All thanks to the very engaging plotline of Goblin Slayer.
Initially there were rumors that the makers are planning to cancel the series because of some controversies that were created involving a few scenes between the priestess and the goblins. These scenes were considered explicit and was highly criticized by many. But that did not really affect the fan following of the series.
And maybe that is the reason why the makers have finally made their mind to bring another season of “Goblin Slayer.” Yes folks! after three years, on January 31, 2021, the makers officially announced the upcoming instalment of this dark fantasy series. Also they have hinted that the production has started.
Hence “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 can be expected by the end of 2021 at the earliest.
“Goblin Slayer” Season 2: Plot
Anime always have unique and enthralling plotlines to engage the audience. And Goblin Slayer is not different because it revolves around a very unique and interesting plotline.
The story is about Goblins who harm humans, and a slayer who wants to wipe off the existence of the goblins. We saw that the Goblin Slayer is skilled in fighting goblins and he wanders off in a faraway land where he can find and destroy Goblins.
That is when he meets a young lady, basically a priestess who was attacked by goblins. The slayer with his amazing skills and tactics managed to bring her back. With time we saw that they bonded well and he started training her on how to fight goblins. As time passed even she started acquiring these skills. And they together finished off the goblin king.
In the upcoming season we will see more of their adventures. There are chances that we will get a glimpse of their past life, their homeland as well as know they reason on why they are so keen on destroying goblins.
Several revelations are awaiting us in the upcoming instalment.
