Ethiopia religious festival killed 2 people

At least two persons were murdered on the outskirts of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Abeba when security personnel opened fire on crowds attending a religious gathering using tear gas and live bullets.

On Thursday, followers of the Orthodox Church, the country’s most frequently practiced faith, were taking part in Epiphany celebrations when conflicts erupted with youngsters from the neighboring Oromia region.

As witnesses report that some persons are missing, the number of casualties might rise.

The administration has committed to pursuing individuals responsible for the violence.
