Elliott Page is a Canadian actor and producer who introduced herself as a woman but later identified herself as gay in February 2014. However, in December 2020, Elliott emerged as a transgender and announced similar pronouns.
Since then, Elliott has been an inspiration to many trans and non-binary people. In his article in a news company, he later shared that he was undergoing top surgery, a sex resuscitation surgery that involved a reduction in breast size and in particular adjusting certain components of one’s chest.
He described the surgery as life-saving rather than life-changing. He also revealed that he had asked his mother if he could ever become a boy at the age of nine. But a large number of people do not even fully express themselves due to social pressures and, according to a survey, most people of color face verbal harassment and unemployment problems when they come out as trans.
He says he has the privilege and resources to go through things and will use the platform to help others as well. Having no role model when he grew up, he felt that he was a strange person but he believed that he could be a role model for many people.
He also thanked the trans community for working tirelessly to make the world a peaceful and acceptable place for people like him.
