Decorated American Doctor recently came to India to for his family and after that he died due to Covid-19, the news has been confirmed by his university.
The name of the Doctor was Rajendra Kapila, he was 81 years old, he was an infectious disease expert at New Jersey’s Rutgers University. Sources says that he died in a Delhi Hospital on 28 April.
Decorated American Doctor Rajendra was admitted in the hospital few week ago for Covid treatment. Dr Deepti Saxena-Kapila, wife of Rajendra Kapila said that she and her husband came to India in the last week of March.
“For the last one year I have been working at a Covid-19 lab in New Jersey and had ensured a safe environment at home,” said Dr Saxena-Kapila, who specialises in microbiology.
Dr Deepti Saxena-Kapila also added that they both took two doses of the vaccine Pfizer–BioNTech, though this was not immediately confirmed by Kapila’s university.
