“Death Note” Season 2: Are We Getting Another Season?

"Death Note" Season 2

Well as we know that this series is adapted from Japanese manga series and had premiered way back in 2007. And the first season was well accepted by the audience and it left us craving for more. But since then the makers have not uttered a single word about bringing the series back.

Although there were some spin-off sequels of the series these could not end the anticipation of another season of the series. But as of now, there is no such news claiming this series will come with another season. Although a new story for the Death Note Manga series is all set to be published in a Japanese magazine.

Therefore there are chances that the makers might actually plan for another season based on the plot of the new story which will be published in the magazine. Although season 1 had a satisfying end and there are fewer chances that season 2 would be a continuation of the first season.

“Death Note” Season 2: Plot

Well if the makers actually plan for another season then we can expect a totally different storyline. As mentioned earlier that season 1 had a very satisfying end. And it did not leave us hanging in the mid cliff. Therefore Season 2 can actually come with a new storyline.

As we know that the series revolves around Light Yagami who is a student and unexpectedly gets a death note diary. And the diary has magical powers and kills the person whose name is mentioned on it. We saw that Yagami was completely possessed by the negative energy on the diary and kills the people.

But that marks an entry of Detective L who starts investigating the murder. In the last episode, we saw that Yagami is killed by one of his rivals Ryuk. So if we get another season we can expect Yagami to return or else there might be a new character replacing him.

But these are just mere assumptions because as of now the makers have not confirmed anything.
