Season 3 of Barry is finally returning to HBO. We last saw Bill Hader’s hitman-turned-actor in 2019. They were set to begin filming a new season in March 2020, but the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic forced a postponement.
Even after beginning under safety measures, Barry Season 3 took three years to arrive, but it’s back with a full release schedule.

When is the Barry season 3 release date?
Barry season 3 will premiere on HBO for US audiences on Sunday, April 24, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, just under three years after the season 2 end. Barry season 3 will be available to stream on HBO Max on April 24, the same day it airs on HBO.
There is no official UK release date for Barry season 3 yet, however most HBO series ultimately appear on Sky Atlantic and are available to watch on NOWTV. This page will be updated once more information about Barry’s UK release date becomes available.
Barry season 3 will include eight episodes, with a new one anticipated to air on HBO every week.
It’s probably going to be sad and dark. If you recall, Barry Season 2 concluded on a sour note. There’s no doubting that the titular character is a terrible person with a big B. He is not a repentant murderer; he is a killer-killer, as proved by the monastery full of criminals that he slaughtered in cold blood in retaliation for his handler Fuches (Stephen Root).
Furthermore, he permits his acting instructor Gene Cousineau (Winkler) to be jailed for the death of Cousineau’s girlfriend—a crime that Barry committed. Cousineau discovers his pupil is a cold-blooded assassin in the last minutes of the episode, stating, “Oh my god,” before the credits roll.
