“Anne with an E star”, Miranda McKeon revealed in early June this year that she was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 19. The actress is known for her performance in the television series Anne with an E.
From the moment the actress was diagnosed with cancer, she has taken it to social media to share updates about her health, chemotherapy sessions and how she has battled the deadly disease with a positive attitude.
Your recent cancer update post was shared on September 15th. McKeon shared a photo of herself on Instagram, revealing that she has gone through her sixth round of chemotherapy.

Well, McKeon is almost done with 75% of his chemotherapy treatments according to his post. The actress needs to undergo two more chemotherapy sessions.

While sharing some slides on social media, McKeon wrote: “Pink is my new color!!!!! It is with a heavy but hopeful heart that I share the news that I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am 19 years old, and according to statistics, the odds of getting breast cancer at that age are one in a million! (literally Google it) I’m so special – but we knew it💛!
On these slides, I shared information about how my last 4 days were, why I decided to share this on social media, information about my cancer, a note not to be afraid and a message to my family and friends. Ps. I suck at spelling so I’m recognizing any typos in advance. ”
“Anne with an E” was an original Netflix series based on the books Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Miranda McKeon played the role of Josie Pye, friend of Anne Shirley. The series continued for three seasons until Netflix canceled it. This even generated some controversy, as viewers were not happy with the sudden cancellation of the series.
Well, let’s hope the strong 19 year old girl who received immense love and support from her viewers and fans comes out of her battle with cancer successfully!
