Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has decided to postpone Oscar’s to 2022. This edition is postponed for one month by the academy. earlier, on 27 February it was decided to be held but due to the current situation it has been delayed.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has said that on 27 march, 2022 the award function will take place. The eligibility period for Academy Awards consideration, however, will return to the standard December 31 deadline.
The rule change had enabled movies such as “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” and “Judas and the Black Messiah” to be considered for the awards.
The sudden changes in rules and eligibility is done due to Covid-19. The movies which were not released on threater beacuse of pandemic are now eligible for the awards.
